These values are regularly emphasized by corporate leadership, beginning with the new hire orientation and extending into meetings where decisions are weighed against the values to help determine a course of action. Our Code of Conduct and Ethics is at the cornerstone of these values. These values also apply to our agents and agent partners that abide by a Producer Code of Conduct.

  • We act with integrity.
  • We deliver through teamwork.
  • We strive for personal growth.
  • We are committed to superior performance.
  • We are accountable for our actions and results.
  • We leverage our interdependence.

Clermont County Public Library began library service in 1955, with a bookmobile and a small office as its first facilities. Since then, the library system has expanded to 10 locations, achieving a goal of the Library Board to have a library within fifteen minutes driving time of all Clermont County residents.

The library is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees appointed by the Clermont County Commissioners and the Judges of the Court of Common Pleas. The board, in turn, hires the library director who implements policies and oversees operations.

Clermont County Public Library receives its revenue from several sources. The state legislature provides the majority of the funding from its biennial budget, while additional money comes from local property taxes. CCPL passed a $.9 Mil operating levy in 2008. Library fines and fees provide the last, and smallest, portion.

The Call to Give

“The idea for Give Like A Mother came from my desire to be a bridge between people who have things they no longer use and people who need those very items. My job as a nurse anesthetist allowed me to build relationships with folks in both of the aforementioned groups. In one particular instance, a friend was in need of some items for her grandchildren that had recently been placed in her care. Within days we’d found her a crib, a high chair, a toddler bed, and large bins of clothing in each size the children were wearing. I thought to myself, ‘we could make this happen any time someone needs a little help.’ Amy Vann, Founder, Board Chairperson
